The Sun Is - Guadalupe Salgado Partida

in fact larger than it appears, hanging in its orbital ritual


                                                              of repetition: this god of fire dances to bring spring, births

light necessary for life,  goes by a multitude of names


                                                              and has been taught all tongues by those who titled

their gaze upward And wondered what are you 


                                                              and what am I? 

the outline of its luminous sphere always responding 


                                                            in its currency of silence [                                              ] 1
